Kotaku recently featured some image of modern movies imagined as Atari game cases. I am a huge sucker for making something new look old, as you can see in this other blog post.

Here is one image, you can click on the image to see the full gallery over on Kotaku’s site:

“Old School” Game covers

I came across these images via StumbleUpon, and I have to say I was blown away. If more game covers looked like this, it would make the “games are art” argument much easier to make. Here are a few that jumped out at me, but they all look amazing. You can see everything here.

Amazing video game art

As I mentioned on Twitter a few days ago, I had forgotten to cancel a subscription to World of  Warcraft. I hopped on to the Blizzard account management site, and started filling out the forms necessary to stop the recurring charges to my credit card.

One of the things that I always liked about Blizzard was that they never took themselves too seriously. Take a look at what my leaving did to some peons:

Second Peon

Extra geeky moment:

Apparently a nerf to WoTF was such a popular reason for quitting (or QQing if you will) that they had to add it to the drop-down box:

They Don’t Make Quitting Easy

I recently came across a prototype of a video game that uses the exterior views of the passenger as the land bounderies for a flying ship. There have been many times as a child that I thought it would be fun to integrate the things I was seeing in with a video game I was playing.

The only thing I wonder is how this would be legal. I know most areas have specific laws governing the amount of visual interference the driver can have on the side windows.
