If you ever pay attention to my rants and raves, you know one of my main problems with my Windows Mobile based phone is the lack of decent applications. Both the iPhone and Android-based devices have a centralized “App Store”, and there seems to be a metric shit ton of active development for both platforms. Microsoft is rolling out their “Mobile Marketplace” tomorrow, but I feel like it will be too little too late.

There are some decent applications that I have found, with the largest range being in twitter clients. I was having some problems with my phone constantly hard reseting lately, and in doing research I came across a new twitter client for Windows Mobile, and so far it has been great.

moTweet from Panoramic is a really smooth application. The interface looks really nice, however, I did have some trouble figuring out where everything was. After a few minutes of poking around in the app, I was able to find most of the features I was looking for.

They have two versions of the app, one for free (with add support) and a $4 version. I went with the free version, since I am rather cheap. The client can also handle multiple accounts and comes with a variety of skins.

If you are like me and not cool enough to own an iPhone or Android based device, you should check out moTweet.
