I just read on Twitter that The Midwest Teen Sex Show has been picked up by Comedy Central for the 09-10 season! I have two words:
HOT SHIT!

“Midwest Teen Sex Show” is definitely not your parent’s sex education class. Based on the popular Web series of the same name, this weekly comedy show brings the discussion of sex to the forefront in an outrageous and comedic way. Every week, the show tackles a different topic (i.e. masturbation, one-night stands, lesbians) exploring it through a variety of sketches. Created by Nikol Hasler, Guy Clarke and Brittany Barber and executive produced by Principato-Young and Double Features’ Michael Shamberg and Stacey Sher.
MTSS is one of my favorite online shows. It is nowhere near is “vile” as the name implies. The show is a modern take on sex-ed, addressing any and every topic in a way that is entertaining, informative, and engaging. They can describe it way better than I can:
Why a show on teen sexuality?
Teens and sex. It happens. Not every teen is having sex and not every teen is abstaining. We hope the Midwest Teen Sex Show will create a space for frank discussion of all things related to teen sexuality. Broadcast media shies away from any real exploration of the topic, and they forget that not all teens live in Orange County. So subscribe on iTunes, Miro, or your favorite RSS reader, download our latest episode, tell your friends, and let’s get it on! (Midwest style).
Is this sex education?
Sort of–we like to call it sex information. We’ll leave the formal education to classrooms and textbooks. Midwest Teen Sex Show is here to provide sex information in a clear and entertaining way. We won’t pretend to be experts, but hopefully a few of our own embarrassing experiences and insights will keep you out of trouble.
