MySpace is sort of the bane of my existence. For some reason, all it fosters is flashing GIFs and music that plays on page load. Any sort of attempt to change the actual layout of the page to be usable and decent is an exercise in futility. My page, while nice, is a simple copy of someone else’s template… I had tried to make a unique layout, but figuring out all of the whacky element selectors was a waste of time.

Usually, I just try and avoid MySpace as often as possible. But for some reason, every time I click through StumbleUpon, I wind up being dragged there, since people seem to think that random profile pages are the “bee’s knees”. I was surprised today, however, when I stumbled across the page of Iliza Shlesinger (apparently the woman who won this season of Last Comic Standing). I avoided the series this year since they broke my heart last seaon by not putting Andi Smith through to the finals. That however, is neither here nor there…

Iliza’s MySpace page is done rather well. I am willing to bet that she did not make that page herself, rather some web person at NBC was assigned to “pimp” her page. Most likely, they wannted her MySpace page to look nice, since they are sending her on a media blitz and are hoping to draw attention to her. But in the end, all that matters is that there is at least one decent looking myspace page out there.

Surprise: A decent MySpace layout!
