This is it. The last decent song on the “Punk goes Crunk” (blatant lies) album
Continuing with the “Punk goes Crunk” (but not really):
There is an album out called “Punk Goes Crunk”. While this sounds great on paper, it is neither punk nor crunk. There are about three decent songs on the whole album. This is one of them:
100% Guilty pleasure
I have been on a Grizzly Bear kick without even knowing it. I somehow wound up with a ton of mashups/remixes of their stuff.
You can grab both “I am just a Rapper” and “I am just a Rapper 2″ over on his site. I highly suggest you grab them both, they are sick.
I first heard this track when one of my roommates in NYC (@mobyjohnson) had his ipod hooked up to the stereo system. I recognized the Aesop Rock vocals, but they took on a whole new feeling with the Sufjan Stevens music behind it. I strongly suggest you download this whole album, as it is some of the freshest music you will hear.
