18OctThree Thoughts on Twitter

Alliteration rules.

I noticed that I had dropped images when using Tweetie at home. This isn’t the case at work. I mentioned @tweetie, and @atebit_support got in touch with my in a matter of minutes to fix the problem.

06OctSometimes coincidences is weird.

I made a post about In Bb 2.0 two days ago (after it had been sitting as a draft for a long while) at 9am (ish).

Going through my RSS feeds, Motionographer posted the same site yesterday around 4pm (ish – according to gReader).

Sometimes I wonder if I am being talked on the interwebnets.

04OctIn Bb 2.0

It seems like everything is coming up Milhouse! I found a neat interactive youtube piece the other day, and loved it. I thought it was a really interesting way to use video as an interactive user experience. Today I run across In Bb 2.0.

From http://www.core77.com/blog/videos/in_b_flat_a_youtube_digital_orchestra_14529.asp

http://inbflat.net/

In Bb 2.0 is a collaborative music and spoken word project conceived by Darren Solomon from Science for Girls, and developed with contributions from users.

The videos can be played simultaneously — the soundtracks will work together, and the mix can be adjusted with the individual volume sliders.

It is a neat composition, but I wish there was a little more meat to it. The whole sound is rather ambient, which is most likely why it can work for anyone, regardless of when they start playing the clips. Maybe with some scripting you could have one that was more structured, and it would only allow clips to start on proper down beats.

03SepI’m on a boat!

Please enjoy this video while I enjoy my 3-night Disney cruise.

(Yes, it was a hack move, but I never promised I would deliver quality.)

31AugI knew there was a reason I hated U2

If it wasn’t enough for the group to think it was a good idea to do the music for the (now defunct) Spiderman Musical, look at this horrible photo that was pulled via last.FM

Stupid bag of douche

And if you still haven’t been hit with the douche chills, watch this interview, which I first saw on Topless Robot:

20AugRecipe Help: Goetta stuffed mushrooms

I have been thinking of doing goetta stuffed mushrooms for a while now, and want to mix the goetta with a cheese so it will bind better inside the mushrooms. My only problem is I am not sure what cheese to use.. I was initially thinking a nice feta for the great flavor, but feta usually doesn’t melt well. I have tossed a few ideas in a poll, but they are limited because my cheese knowledge is not as vast as it should be.

What cheese would work well inside goetta stuffed mushrooms?

20JulLook ma! I made it!

I follow @Izzyman on twitter, because I lurv me some Matzo Ball soup on fridays. This week, they were asking for suggestions for sandwiches using goetta. There were three ideas I mentioned:

And then today, I see this come across my @ notifications:

I really hope that they try the Pastrami, goetta, havarti, horseradish, and cole slaw. No matter what they call it, it will be delicious!

21MayJune OTRTweetup

If you are in Cincinnati and haven’t been to an OTRTweetup yet, then you are missing things that could only be described as “The Bee’s Knees”. Have you ever seen the knees of a bee? They are mind-blowing!

These meetups are a great time where you get to meet some of the most interesting and vivacious people in Cincinnati. To your left, you will see a thing to RSVP with. Click the appropriate button and it will generate the hoops you need to jump through (at last check, hoop count was holding steady at zero). While I am sure you are heartbroken to hear that I will not be able to make it, you should still go.

15MayDo I take another gamble w/ my portfolio?

I have no idea where this greatness came from, but this is what I am thinking of using for my about section on my portfolio. My one hesitation is while I find it hilarious and endering, I don’t know if it will come across as me being quirky or me being completely unprofessional.

I am entering my 4th year in the Digital Design program at DAAP in the University of Cincinnati. When I am not shoulder-deep in school work, I spend my time either tinkering with computer hardware or dancing on the ceiling. And if ceiling dancing isn’t impressive enough, take a look at this resume.

Designing motion graphics, interactive websites, bicycle jousting, and user testing all make my day. Is your project ready to be added to that list?

Please leave some comments and let me know what you think… is it unique and catchy -or- sophomoric and base?

08MayAn ode to Twitter

Ohh Twitter

You went in to maintenance and left me, when I had something to say

Ohh Twitter

It was pithy and punny, but now its gone away
