I just wanted to give a quick shoutout to my internet friend Ashley Hay. This girl is all sorts of kick ass. Not only did she make a custom Bruce Campbell munny for me (photos to follow once I get some superglue to fix a transport boo boo), but she also picked up this ballin Doctor Who figure set for me at ComicCon.
If that wasn’t enough, there was a second package with a shirt she designed waiting for me when I got home today (which is an awesome birthday present from my brother):
In short, you should check out her various art/design work at her site http://heyashley.com/ and her etsy store and pick up something to support her, since she is helping to bring nerdom to a new level. You can also hear Ashley on Yet Another Gaming Show, part of the Fancy Pants Gangsters podcast network.
A Great Gatsby game?!?!?! A game based on the worst book ever… I can’t even put in to words how furious this makes me. If someone I know buys this, I will make it my life’s purpose to destroy you.
I mean, hell.. the book is nothing more than subpar alcoholic ramblings, which for some reason unbeknownst to me is lauded as a “literary masterpiece”. How a point-and-click adventure game is being made from this baffles me. There are enough vapid people you can deal with in your day-to-day life, why would anyone choose to but a game where all you do is interact with vapid people?
There is something that draws me to unique condom package design (hehe, package). This was made by Ben Marsh, who is studying Visual Communications at Loughborough University. If this was sold at Cons, it would be a goldmine!
I had to cut this render short… I had hoped to have about 7 seconds of particles falling and interacting, but after only getting ~2 seconds after 34 hours, and each frame’s render time increasing, I decided it was time to punch out.
