I have an android phone, and I am currently waiting (not too) patiently for the promised Android versions
Path
This looks like everything I want from a social network. It is limited to only 50 friends, so I don’t have to worry about friending people I only tangentially know.
Instagram
I am currently using Picplz on my android, but the UI is rough and it feels like an “also ran” app. I like the ability to post photos to multiple locations on picplz, but I would like a more robust user base.
Wunderlist
I have started using this on my desktop (in conjunction with the Hipster PDA for when I am not at my computer) and can’t wait for the Android app to come out.
I understand that developing for Android has many more hurdles than iphone (different OS versions, different screen sizes, different phone capabilities, etc) but the longer it takes to release an Android version of their software, the less relevant they risk becoming. If developing for the android is not something these companies think they can do, then they should consider opening up APIs so 3rd party devs can do what they are unable to.
I almost fell over laughing the other day. For some reason an image of a Jewish gangsta popped in to my head, and I thought of challah. (For those that don’t know, challah is pretty much pronounced “holla”)
After a quick google search, I found an image that fit what I saw in my mind’s eye and made a quick motivational poster.
If you heard me on a recent episode of The Gameluv Show, you know that I have been replaying Mass Effect 2. You also know that I was not looking forward to this… I felt like I needed to replay the game with all of the DLC in preparation of Mass Effect 3.
Evan, why would you put yourself through the game again if you didn’t like it?
Well, there are multiple “hooks” from Mass Effect 2 that will effect the outcome of Mass Effect 3, and I need to ensure I will have as many as possible active in my Mass Effect 3 game.
When I started playing ME2 again, I was enjoying myself. The story was more engaging than I remembered, and everything seemed to be on the up-and-up. That was until I hit the halfway point in the game and was reminded why I had such disdain for it in the first place…
In the middle of assembling an army of misfit toys to fight off the end of the world, you have to stop everything and solve your crews daddy issues. Miranda, Jacob, Tali, Thane, Samira, and Grunt all need you to make them feel better before they can be fully effective. The plot comes to a grinding halt and you trapse all over the galaxy to coddle teammates.
That was (and is) why I didn’t like Mass Effect 2. It just fell apart at the halfway mark.
So Rock Band 3 is shipping with a keyboard peripheral. My first thought was
ZOMG! There is going to be a Rock Band: Phish soon
And today I saw the track listings. For the 1990′s, there is
Phish, “Llama”
That’s not to mention the one song that already exists for Phish as DLC. Slowly but surely I am getting to live my dream of being John Fishman (muumuu and all)
If you haven’t noticed, I am really excited for the launch of Monday Night Combat on August 11th. I have been waiting for this game since I first saw a trailer for it in March. Here is some developer commentary to whet your appetite
